Job summary

Longtown Primary School, part of Cumbria Education Trust, is seeking a cleaner to join our dedicated team in Longtown, Cumbria. The role is 22 hours per week, with a Mon-Fri pattern, across 38+2 weeks term time, paid for 45.797 weeks.

You will perform general cleaning duties, maintain high standards of hygiene, and participate in health and safety risk assessments. Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post, and online checks are carried out for candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning duties and safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in training.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to relate well to children.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties including vacuuming, floor mopping, dusting and bin emptying.
• Ensure areas are cleaned regularly and to high standards at all times.
• Maintain health and safety standards and follow risk assessments.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
