Job summary

Ibstock School is seeking a hardworking, dependable cleaner for the PM shift. The role is 12.5 hours per week (3:00–5:30 pm, Monday to Friday) during term-time with 50 hours to be worked in holidays.

It is a part-time position within a small, friendly team focused on maintaining a safe, clean school environment for students and staff. Training will be provided; candidates should be able to work efficiently, independently, and perform repetitive tasks including lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting of classrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Comply with all relevant health & safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are used and stored safely and stocks are replenished, as required.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the cleaning supervisor/facilities manager.

Full time salary: £25,822.00

Actual salary: £8,040.66

• Can work efficiently, independently and takes pride in high standards
• Is physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, lifting and bending.
• Ideally has experience in a similar setting, although training will be provided.
