Job summary

Responsibilities include classroom support, supervising groups, preparing materials, administering medicines where needed, and upholding safeguarding and confidentiality. The post is full-time and based on-site in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Able to demonstrate essential criteria including Level 2 qualification (Certificate or Diploma) and a minimum of 6 weeks (or 12 months in a formal learning environment).
• Evidence of health and safety knowledge, child development, and safeguarding.
• Demonstrated planning, organisational, and collaborative skills, with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the efficient running of the class and support pupils individually or in groups.
• Supervise groups of children and manage activities including ICT and libraries as required.
• Provide continuity of adult care, supervise play and cloakrooms, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prepare materials and resources for lessons, and support administration tasks.
• Administer prescribed medicines and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Report signs requiring teacher or medical attention and support safe pupil progress.
