Job summary

Job description

Hazel Tree Education are recruiting for Classroom Support Assistants.

Due to increased demand, Hazel Tree Education are looking for Classroom Support Assistants to work in mainstream and SEN schools with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities based in Widnes and the surrounding areas.

We are currently working with both primary and secondary schools who require flexible, temporary support staff for both full and part-time opportunities to work with children. This could include learners with a range of complex needs including Autism, ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

No experience is necessary as we can offer a unique, in-house program of courses and training, developed and delivered by a qualified teacher, to ensure that you feel supported in your role. However any experience in care or support work would be advantageous.

Applicants must have:
  • An interest in working with children with additional needs
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work on own initiativeA willingness to learn and undertake opportunities for professional development
  • A patient, calm and kind demeanour in order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • At least two references covering the last two years of employment
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
