Axcis Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant in Bromsgrove for a full-time role in a specialist SEND school. You will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access education and achieve goals.

Hours are 8:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £14.25 per hour. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, collaboration with teachers and therapists, and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist SEND school in Bromsgrove. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support to access education and achieve their individual goals. This role would suit individuals with experience in education, care, youth work, support work, or anyone who has a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs. These may include Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and complex needs. You will play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND or additional needs.
• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships and adapt to individual needs.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people.
• An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability for a full-time commitment.
