Job summary

Broadmere Primary Academy seeks a dedicated teacher to deliver the curriculum tailored to age and ability, preparing resources and pastoral support as needed.

You will be responsible for pupil attainment and progress, planning to help every learner reach their potential while maintaining safeguarding standards and collaborating with the SENDCo on SEND support arrangements.

The role requires QTS and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding of children is essential.
• Evidence of effective CPD (continuous professional development).
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the curriculum appropriate to age and ability, developing teaching materials and pastoral arrangements.
• Be accountable for pupil attainment and progress, planning to help them reach their potential.
• Support SEND needs by collaborating with the SENDCo on SEND arrangements and reviews.

Job description

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
• Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class/es, planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential
• Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and work in collaboration with the SENDCo to make an appropriate contribution to and participate in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEND Support Arrangements
