Gregory Distribution Ltd is hiring a Class 2 driver to operate refrigerated vehicles across West Wales, including Swansea to surrounding regions. You will perform up to 12 daily drops, ensure safe loading, and maintain vehicle safety checks while upholding high standards of customer service.

The role requires a valid UK Class 2 licence, DCPC, and tachograph card, with full training provided. Overtime and shift allowances apply within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated vehicles 3.5T–18T with tail lift for multi-drop milk cage deliveries.
• Complete up to 12 drops per day with accurate, timely deliveries.
• Load and secure goods to prevent movement; use securing devices as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and communicate with transport team.
• Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service at each stop.

About this job

Class 2 Night Driver Location: Haverfordwest Shift: 4on 4off, 23:00hrs start time Competitive Salary: £17.75 per hour, equating to £32,305 per annum, including night shift allowance.

With excellent overtime opportunities, any hours worked over 10 hours per shift and any additional shifts are paid at £15.00 per hour.

Shifts worked on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day are paid at £30.00 per hour.

About the Role As a Class 2 Driver, you will: Operate refrigerated vehicles ranging from
3.5T to 18T with use of a tail lift to make multi drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores throughout West Wales, from Swansea to Safely unload cages from the vehicle and move them to the store entrance at each delivery point, ensuring efficiency and proper handling.

Complete up to 12 drops per day, maintaining accuracy and timeliness across all deliveries.

Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.

Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.

Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.

Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.

Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications You must hold a valid UK Class 2 (C) Licence, and be comfortable operating refrigerated vehicles ranging from
3.5 to 18 tonnes.

A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.

Previous experience in multi-drop delivery is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided to get you up to speed.

You'll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely.

A confident and polite communicator, you'll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment.

A good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays.
