Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a committed driver to perform multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections across the South West. The role requires working with tail lifts, performing daily safety checks, and keeping the transport team informed to meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate holds UK HGV licences, a current DCPC card, and a Digital Tachograph card, with a keen focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 CE or Class 2 C licence required.
• Current DCPC card and Digital Tachograph card required.
• Experience of driving HGVs is advantageous.
• Strong customer service mindset and team player.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Good geographical knowledge and navigation skills.
• Physically fit, flexible and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Make multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections.
• Handball and use tail lift to unload the vehicle.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using company phone.
• Maintain regular communication with transport team for updates.
• Attend regular training sessions to stay updated with industry standards.

Job description

• Making multi drop palletised driver and collections to and from businesses and private addresses around the South West.
• Handball and use a Tail Lift to unload the vehicle.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence or Class 2 C Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of driving HGVs advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Competitive Salary: £15.00 per hour for weekdays. £18.75 per hour on a Saturday.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 48 hours per week, start times approximately 07:30hrs. Occasional Saturday working.
