Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Driver (C) in Dartford for ongoing shifts with a leading UK DIY and homeware retailer. The role offers a £21.04 per hour rate, weekly pay, and a full induction on site.

Expect regular shifts, clean customer-facing duties, and an emphasis on safety with manual handling and vehicle checks. UK resident required; no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• You must have a UK Class 2 driving licence.
• DCPC card and Digi-Tacho card required.
• Experience preferred but newly passed drivers will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle.
• Complete 2 delivery runs per shift.
• Load own vehicle (hand-balling).
• Perform multi-drop deliveries.
• Work solo or in a 2-person crew.
• Deliver to customer homes (room of choice, stairs, heavy items).
• Carry out vehicle checks and complete paperwork.

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers inDartford to work with our client, who is the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution organisations for a leading DIY and homeware retailer.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle
• Completing 2 delivery runs
• Loading own vehicle (hand-balling)
• Multi-drop Deliveries
• Working in a 1 person or 2 person crew
• Delivering to Customer Homes
  • Heavy lifting (flat pack items)
  • Climbing Flights of stairs where lifts are not available.
• Vehicle checks and the usual paperwork

As you are delivering to customer homes, deliveries are room of choice, meaning furniture can be required anywhere within the customer's property - including upstairs, downstairs, back gardens etc.

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and havethe ability to deal with different types of people.

About you

Youmusthave your Class 2 Driving Licence.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.

Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.

You must also be comfortable with manual handling and working as part of a delivery crew.
