Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Dartford to work with our client, the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution organisation for a leading DIY and homeware retailer.

Deliveries are to customer homes with room of choice, often upstairs or downstairs; you will work in a 1 or 2 person crew, perform vehicle checks, load and deliver, and complete the usual paperwork while maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class 2 Driving Licence.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card required.
• Clean driving record; up to 6 points may be accepted (no certain endorsements).
• Comfortable with manual handling and working in a delivery crew.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to customer homes, room of choice (may be anywhere in the property).
• Load/unload and hand-ball items; multi-drop deliveries.
• Carry out vehicle checks and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and adapt to different people.

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Dartford to work with our client, who is the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution organisations for a leading DIY and homeware retailer.

• Experience: Experience is preferred, however we will consider newly passed drivers.
• Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle
• Completing 2 delivery runs
• Loading own vehicle (hand-balling)
• Multi-drop Deliveries
• Working in a 1 person or 2 person crew
• Delivering to Customer Homes
• Heavy lifting (flat pack items)
• Climbing Flights of stairs where lifts are not available.
• Vehicle checks and the usual paperwork

As you are delivering to customer homes, deliveries are room of choice, meaning furniture can be required anywhere within the customer's property — including upstairs, downstairs, back gardens etc.

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and have the ability to deal with different types of people.

About you:

You must have your Class 2 Driving Licence. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

You must also be comfortable with manual handling and working as part of a delivery crew.
