As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, including the loading, transportation, and delivery of parcels to depots, hubs, and customers with professionalism and care. Newly qualified drivers are especially welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Category C (Class 2) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Confident in using mobile IT devices for daily paperwork and records.
• Clear communication with supervisors, customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely and in line with policies and regulations.
• Complete mandatory training and inductions for the role.
• Maintain vehicles with daily checks and reporting defects.
• Communicate professionally with customers and teammates.
• Follow company reporting procedures accurately and promptly.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, including the loading, transportation, and delivery of parcels to depots, hubs, and customers with professionalism and care.

Shifts & Pay

• £16.66 to £18.17 per hour - Day and night shifts available
• 24/7 operation

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment safely, adhering to company policies, legal requirements, and your valid licence, experience, and training
• Complete all mandatory training and inductions to perform your role effectively
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard, including conducting daily vehicle checks
• Communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
• Accurately and promptly follow all company reporting procedures

Person Specification

• Possess a valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
• Confident in using mobile IT devices and completing daily paperwork and electronic records accurately
• Clear and effective communication skills when liaising with supervisors, controllers, colleagues, customers and the public
• Knowledge of safe and legal HGV driving practises, including Working Time Regulations, tachograph requirements and official rest breaks
• Understanding of daily vehicle checks, defect reporting and maintaining vehicle roadworthiness
