Qualifications

• Valid UK C driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements
• 1 year previous HGV driving experience in logistics/distribution
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
