Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking reliable Class 2 drivers for ongoing temporary work in Preston and surrounding areas. The role involves safe operation of Class 2 vehicles, multi-stop routes, and on-time delivery of parcels.

Applicants should have a UK Cat C licence, Driver CPC with Tachograph Card, and at least 1 year of Class 2 experience in logistics. Great pay and regular shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Cat C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year Class 2 driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Multiple drops per shift depending on route assigned.
