Job summary

GCS Associates in St Ives (PE27) is seeking a Class 2 Multidrop Driver. Based at the St Ives branch, you will operate a Class 2 HIAB vehicle with full training provided to deliver building materials.

Hours are Monday to Friday 07:30–16:30 with alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00. Salary is £38,000–£39,000, plus a contributory pension and training/development programmes; you will deliver to customers, assist in the yard/warehouse and support colleagues.

Qualifications

• Have Class 2 (Category C) LGV licence.
• Have a Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Be a big team player.
• Have a really positive attitude.
• Be reliable and enthusiastic.
• Enjoy talking to lots of different people.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service.
• Provide cover for Honiton, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton during holidays / periods of absence.
• Carry out appropriate vehicle checks on a routine basis.
• Make sure you and your vehicle are always safe and secure.
• Keep your yard clean, tidy and well organised.
• Work in the yard and warehouse.
• Serve customers.
• Support your team mates.

Our client is a well-respected builders merchant group with branches across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 Driver based out of their St Ives branch in Huntingdon (PE27).

It is driving a Class 2 HIAB vehicle with full training provided.

This is a full time permanent position; the role includes:

• Providing an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service
• Providing cover for Honiton, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton during holidays / periods of absence
