Job summary

GCS Associates in Taunton, Somerset is seeking an experienced Class 2 multidrop Area Delivery Driver. You will operate from the Taunton branch, covering Bridgwater, Chard, Tiverton and Minehead, delivering to customers and supporting the team.

The role is full-time with training provided. You will perform vehicle checks, ensure safety, and contribute to a tidy yard and warehouse, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class 2 (Category C) LGV licence.
• Must hold a Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration are essential.
• Positive attitude and reliability are required.
• Be enthusiastic and comfortable talking to many people.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, timely and dependable delivery service.
• Offer cover for holidays/absences in Honiton, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks to stay safe and compliant.
• Ensure you and your vehicle are safe and secure at all times.
• Keep yard clean, tidy and well organised; work in yard and warehouse.
• Serve customers and support teammates.

Area Class 2 Driver based out of Taunton and covering Bridgwater, Chard, Tiverton, and Minehead

Our client is a well-respected builders merchant group with branches across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 multidrop Area Delivery Driver based out of their Taunton branch. This is a full time permanent position; the role includes:

• Providing an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service
• Providing cover for Honiton, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton during holidays / periods of absence
• Carrying out appropriate vehicle checks on a routine basis
• Making sure you and your vehicle are always safe and secure
• Keeping your yard clean, tidy and well organised
• Working in the yard and warehouse
• Serving customers
• Supporting your team matesYou don't need to know about the products or the industry as full training will be provided; all you need is to:
