Job summary

GCS Associates in Northampton is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client’s building materials distribution team. You will operate a Class 2 HIAB vehicle from the Northampton branch (NN5) and contribute to reliable deliveries.

The role runs Monday to Friday 07:00-16:30 with alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00, offering training and a contributory pension. Full training provided for product knowledge and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Have a valid Class 2 LGV licence and DQC.
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and a strong team player.
• Enjoy talking to different people and delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service.
• Cover for Honiton, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton during holidays.
• Carry out regular vehicle checks.
• Ensure safety and security of yourself and vehicle.
• Keep yard tidy and organized.
• Work in yard and warehouse.
• Serve customers.

**Class 2 Driver based out of Northampton**

Our client is a well-respected builders merchant group with branches across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 Driver based out of their Northampton branch (NN5).

It is driving a Class 2 HIAB vehicle with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

This is a full time permanent position; the role includes:

• Providing an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service
• Providing cover for Honiton, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton during holidays / periods of absence
• Carrying out appropriate vehicle checks on a routine basis
• Making sure you and your vehicle are always safe and secure
• Keeping your yard clean, tidy and well organised
• Working in the yard and warehouse
• Serving customers
