Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. is hiring for delivery driver roles in the UK under a 4on 4off schedule, with day and night shifts. The role requires a UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC and Tachograph Card, and involves loading, route planning, customer service, and daily vehicle checks.

Night hours attract a premium, and ongoing training is provided. Candidates should be team players with good geographical knowledge and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled out-and-back delivery routes with punctual transport of goods and return to base.
• Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone to support delivery operations.
• Load security with ratchet straps and manual handling to ensure safe deliveries.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks using company phone to maintain vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular contact with transport team to update progress and meet customer expectations.
• Attend regular training to stay updated with industry standards and practices.

About the Role

• Execute scheduled out-and-back delivery routes, ensuring punctual and efficient transportation of goods with timely return to the base, while maintaining route integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone to support the smooth execution of delivery operations.
• Master the art of load security with ratchet straps and part manual handling, ensuring every delivery is safe and secure.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
