Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver to work from East Midlands Gateway. This role involves trunking goods to various UK sites with no manual handling and offers long-term possibilities, including permanent opportunities.

You will need a valid Class 1 license for at least 6 months, a valid tachograph card and a DQC card, and a positive can-do attitude. Nights shifts pay £19.40 per hour, with overtime after 9.6 hours at £29.10 per hour.

Qualifications

Class 1 HGV Driver

Pertemps are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway where they pay daily OT rates. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's.This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.

Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:

• + Nights - Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday

The successful Class 1 Driver will:

• + Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
• + Have a valid tacho and DQC card
• + Have a positive can do attitude

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:

• + Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
• + Trailer swaps and backloads

You will receive:

• + Nights - £19.40 per hour
• + Nights OT after 9.6 hours daily - £29.10 per hour
• + 6th shift - £29.10 per hour
