Job description

Pertemps North Midlands seeks Class 1 HGV Drivers for night shifts based at Kegworth, working from East Midlands Gateway. Roles involve trunking goods between company sites, NDCs and RDCs, with no handball required. Nights run Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday. Pay ranges from £19.40 to £29.10 hourly, with daily overtime rates available. These full-time positions begin on a temporary basis, with permanent pathways open for suitable drivers. Applicants need a valid Class 1 licence held at least six months, plus current tacho and DQC cards. A positive, can-do approach matters. Long-term work is offered within a clean, straightforward operation. Class 1 HGV Driver Pertemps are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway where they pay daily OT rates. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's. This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.

Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:

• Nights - Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday

The successful Class 1 Driver will:

• Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
• Have a valid tacho and DQC card
• Have a positive can do attitude

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:

• Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
• Trailer swaps and backloads

You will receive:

• Nights - £19.40 per hour
• Nights OT after 9.6 hours daily - £29.10 per hour
• 6th shift - £29.10 per hour
