Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United Kingdom is seeking a professional HGV driver for Leicester. You will operate between 01:00 and 07:00, perform vehicle checks and deliver to stores with a tail lift setup.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card. Experience with double-deck trailers is a plus, and a positive, can-do attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E).
• Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Ideally 12 months recent driving experience.
• Polite and friendly with a can-do attitude.
• Double Deck experience desirable.
• Confident manoeuvering in tight yards.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards and The Highway Code.
• Complete vehicle checks regularly.
• Deliver 1-3 store deliveries to the rear of the store using tail lift and pump truck.

Pay Rate: £44,177.81 (£17.69 PH) + shift premiums any hours worked between 10pm and 6am (£21.23 PH) any hours worked between 4pm and 10pm (£19.46 PH) Grade: P Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time and part time) Shift patterns: Monday-Friday start times between 01.00-07.00 Location: Dunelm, Leicester, LE19 1WY

A typical day may involve

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• 1-3 store deliveries delivering to the rear of the store using a tail lift and electric pump truck with some manual handling required.

This role would suit people who

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience
• Are polite and friendly and have a can do attitude
• Double Deck experience is desirable
• Are confident manoeuvering in a tight yard
