Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is currently seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team in Leicester. You will play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly, delivering goods safely and on time. A full-time permanent contract is offered with varied shift patterns.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence and should be polite, friendly, and confident in maneuvering vehicles. The position offers numerous benefits including annual leave and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C).
• Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Ideally 12 months recent driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with regulations.
• Complying with health and safety standards.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks.
• Manual handling of customer products.
• Delivering goods to stores using a tail lift.
• Collecting salvage to return to site.

Pay Rate: £37,326.42 + Any Shift Premium

Grade: P

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday start times between 01.00-07.00

Location: Dunelm, Leicester, LE19 1WY

We're now looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

Typical Day May Involve

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products
• 1-2 store deliveries delivering to the rear of the store using a tail lift and manual pump truck
• Collecting salvage to return to site
• Approximately 12 hours per day

This Role Would Suit People Who

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience but not essential
• Are polite and friendly and have a can‑do attitude
• Are confident manoeuvering in a tight yard
