Job summary

Boughey Distribution is expanding its driver pool at the Wardle site with a permanent night shift (5 on 3 off). You will perform vehicle checks, ensure safe deliveries across Cheshire and nearby areas, and assist with yard movements and unloading as needed.

Applicants must hold a current CPC and tachograph card, have previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles, and demonstrate excellent communication with customers and on-site teams.

• Excellent communication skills for delivery interactions and team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at start and end of each shift, adhering to HGV driving rules
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and assist in yard with handball or pump truck deliveries where required

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• Current CPC and tachograph cardwith a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
