Job summary

Boughey Distribution is recruiting for a night shift HGV driver at our Crewe site on a permanent contract. You will drive Class 1 vehicles, complete daily checks and ensure timely deliveries, with shifts 5 days on 3 off and flexible start times between 4pm and 10pm.

Qualifications

• Category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card required.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and comply with HGV driving rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Maneouvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and assist in yard with handball or pump truck deliveries where required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• A valid category C&E licenseis essential
• Current CPC and tachograph cardwith a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
