Job summary

HireGiant Ltd in Leicester is seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver for trunking work with a reputable client in LE4. You will drive a class 1 curtain side trailer, complete deliveries, and maintain high standards of customer service and paperwork accuracy.

Shifts are 10–12 hours with a PAYE pay rate of £18.00–£19.00 per hour. Weekly pay and ongoing, consistent work are offered, with training and support for new LGV1 drivers.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV1 (Category C+E) Licence required.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card required.
• Strapping and reversing competence required.
• New pass LGV1 Drivers welcome training and support provided.
• HGV LTD drivers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries of general haulage to businesses.
• Operate the class 1 curtain side trailer safely.
• No handball requirement; focus on efficient haulage.
• Ensure all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.

Class 1 Driver

The Role:

HireGiant are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to work with our client based in Leicester LE4, this will be trunking work.

Your responsibilities as a HGV1 driver will include:

• Completing deliveries of general haulage to businesses

• Driving the class 1 curtain side trailer in a safe manor

• no handball, this is a nice haulage role

• Ensuring all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately

• Maintaining excellent customer service standards

Requirements for the Class 1 driver:

• Valid HGV 1 (Category C+E) Licence

• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card

• Strapping and Reversing competence

• New pass LGV1 Drivers welcome training and support provided

• HGV LTD drivers welcome

Hours & Pay for the Class 1 HGV Driver:

• 16.00pm

• Shifts: 10-12 hours depending on route

• PAYE Pay rate: £18.00 - £19.00 per hour
