Job summary

Tomlin Personnel Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for an ongoing role with a long-established logistics client. The position is based in Leicester Leicestershire with work across the UK, offering days and nights on varying start times.

Shifts run from 0600–0800 for days and 1600 onwards for nights. Curtain sider or box trailer experience helps but is not essential; excellent communication and reliability are required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• Up to date CPC for your Class 1
• Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 HGV to manufacturing sites and other sites across the UK.
• Maintain vehicle and comply with safety policies throughout shifts.
• Be contactable and communicate effectively during the shift.

Our long established logistics client based Leicester Leicestershire has an urgent requirement for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a regular ongoing basis.

Job Description.

Work involves Class 1 HGV Driving work to Manufacturing Sites or other similar sites across the UK. Various start times available ranging from Days 0600am to 0800am and Nights from 1600pm onwards.

Experience with Curtain Sider or Box Trailers would be an advantage but not essential. Block bookings for the rest of the year.

Licence requirements:

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• Up to date CPC for your Class 1
• Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

You Must:

• Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
• Be punctual
• Smart appearance as you will be representing the company (no Jeans etc.)
• Keep vehicle clean and to a good standard
• Good communication skills are essential for this position as you might be needed to be contactable throughout the shift

Salary:

Days per hour: £16.00 ph (PAYE), £18.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Night per hour: £17.00 ph (PAYE), £19.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Saturdays - £18.00 (PAYE), £21.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Sundays - £20.00 (PAYE), £23.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)
