Job summary

HireGiant Ltd is seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver to join our client based in Daventry for a trunk run to Thurrock.

You will handle deliveries to businesses, operate a class 1 curtain side trailer, with no handball, and ensure paperwork and PODs are completed while maintaining high customer service.

Start times around 21:00, typical shift length 8–10 hours; pay £18.50–£19.00 per hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
• Strapping and Reversing competence.
• New pass LGV1 Drivers welcome training and support provided.
• HGV LTD drivers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries to businesses and ensure PODs and paperwork are accurate.
• Drive the class 1 curtain side trailer safely and efficiently.
• No handball required; this is a main haulage role with steady loads.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and professionalism.
• Record and report any issues affecting on-time deliveries.

Class 1 Driver

The Role

HireGiant are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to work with our client based in Daventry, this will consist of doing 1 trunk per night to Thurrock.

Your responsibilities as a HGV1 driver will include:

• Completing deliveries to businesses
• Driving the class 1 curtain side trailer in a safe manor
• no handball, this is a nice haulage role
• Ensuring all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards

Requirements for the Class 1 driver

• Valid HGV 1 (Category C+E) Licence
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Strapping and Reversing competence
• New pass LGV1 Drivers welcome training and support provided
• HGV LTD drivers welcome

Hours & Pay for the Class 1 HGV Driver

• Start times between 21.00pm/8-10 hours work.
• PAYEPay rate:£18.50 - £19.00 per hour
