Job summary

Tomlin Personnel Ltd urgently seeks HGV Class 1 drivers for our logistic client in Leicester Leicestershire. Drivers will operate Class 1 vehicles to manufacturing sites and similar sites across the UK, with starts ranging from 0600–0800 in the day and from 1600 onwards at night.

Experience with Curtain Sider or Box Trailers is advantageous but not essential. Salary bands vary by shift: Days £16.00 ph, Nights £17.00 ph, with umbrella options available and higher weekend rates.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence required.
• CPC for Class 1 up-to-date.
• Digi card for Class 1 up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 to manufacturing sites or similar sites across the UK.
• Handle varied start times, days 0600–0800 and nights from 1600 onwards.
• Keep vehicle clean and in good condition; present a professional image.
• Maintain good communication and be contactable throughout the shift.

Our long established logistics client based Leicester Leicestershire has an urgent requirement for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a regular ongoing basis.

Job Description.

Work involves Class 1 HGV Driving work to Manufacturing Sites or other similar sites across the UK. Various start times available ranging from Days 0600am to 0800am and Nights from 1600pm onwards.

Experience with Curtain Sider or Box Trailers would be an advantage but not essential. Block bookings for the rest of the year.

Licence requirements:

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• Up to date CPC for your Class 1
• Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

You Must:

• Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
• Be punctual
• Smart appearance as you will be representing the company (no Jeans etc.)
• Keep vehicle clean and to a good standard
• Good communication skills are essential for this position as you might be needed to be contactable throughout the shift

Salary:

Days per hour: £16.00 ph (PAYE), £18.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Night per hour: £17.00 ph (PAYE), £19.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Saturdays - £18.00 (PAYE), £21.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Sundays - £20.00 (PAYE), £23.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)
