Job summary

Freightroute is seeking a Class 1 Day Driver at our Durham site (DL14 8NR) to perform multi-drop deliveries and customer-facing duties in a fast-paced environment.

You will hold a UK Class 1 CE licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and be fit, flexible, and self-motivated. ADR training is fully funded, with attractive rates and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 – CE driving licence (Category CE).
• Current DCPC card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Be fit, flexible and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries and collections within defined areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers as the face of Freightroute.
• Load/unload vehicle and ensure load security.
• Complete daily vehicle checks on company device.
• Maintain regular contact with transport team to update progress.
• Maintain high professional driving and legal standards.

Shift Pattern: 45 hours per week
Salary: £34749 - £37206

Monday to Friday 07.00 - 17.00 Durham DL14 8NR

ADR qualification preferred but not essential – fully funded training to upskill available

The position of Class 1 Day Driver involves:

• Multi drop deliveries and collections within set geographical areas


• Building and maintaining relationships with our customers as the face of Freightroute


• Loading / unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security and positive load fit


• Completing daily vehicle checks on your Company device


• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team providing updates on progress aiding management of customer expectations


• Maintaining the highest professional driving and legal standards

Role Requirements:

• UK Class 1 – Category CE Driving Licence


• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card


• Passion for providing excellent customer service


• Ability to work to deadlines


• Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible and self-motivated.
