ARR Craib Ltd in Aberdeen is seeking a Class 1 Relief Driver for permanent, full-time work covering holiday and sickness across a range of collections and deliveries. The role requires a UK Class 1 CE Licence and a flexible approach to day/night shifts including weekends.

You will operate refrigerated tail-lift trailers for multidrop deliveries around Aberdeen and the Shire, ensuring loads are secured, performing daily vehicle checks, and staying in touch with the transport team to meet customer

Responsibilities

• Operate a refrigerated tail-lift trailer to carry out multidrop store deliveries around Aberdeen and Shire, including delivering milk cages and returning empties.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage, using appropriate securing devices.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide progress updates and meet customer expectations.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with industry standards and best practices.
• This is a permanent full-time position to cover holiday and sickness, with a flexible approach that includes day and night work and weekends as required.

About The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Use a refrigerated tail lift trailer to carry out multidrop store deliveries around Aberdeen and Shire. This includes delivering milk cages returning empties in the Aberdeen area, (involving tail‑lift operation and manual handling)
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use appropriate securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
• This is a permanent full time position to cover holiday and sickness. Therefore, a flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work, including weekends as and when required.
