Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking reliable Class 1 Drivers for ongoing temporary roles in Wishaw. You will operate Class 1 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres, load/unload safely, and complete paperwork while meeting schedules.

Requirements include a UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card, and 2 years of Class 1 experience. Competitive hourly pay, and full wear/PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects per procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and ensure cargo security.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

Hourly Rate: £21.44 - 24.57 per hour
