Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting Class 1 Drivers for ongoing temporary roles in Rochester. You will operate Class 1 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery points, performing daily vehicle checks and completing delivery paperwork.

Applicants must hold a UK C+E licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with up to five penalty points and 2 years HGV experience. Competitive hourly pay and flexible shifts offered, with full PPE provided and support from the

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years HGV driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Good understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and ensure security of goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while communicating with the wider operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
