Job summary

Manpower Wales is recruiting reliable Class 1 drivers to join a respected logistics operation that prioritises drivers. We offer ongoing, temp-to-perm and ad hoc shifts with a professional workplace committed to safety and customer service.

You will operate Class 1 vehicles, perform pre/post trip checks, and meet delivery schedules. The role requires a valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and tachograph card, along with strong route planning and paperwork accuracy.

Qualifications

• Requires valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Requires valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Requires valid digital tachograph card.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and drivers' hours.
• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles with a safety-first mindset.
• Good communication skills and professional customer interactions.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Good route awareness and planning skills.
• Comfortable working to schedules and maintaining consistent performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly
• Transport goods to scheduled destinations while maintaining delivery times
• Follow all relevant UK driving regulations, company procedures, and tachograph rules
• Secure loads correctly and ensure vehicles are compliant before departure
• Plan routes effectively and manage driving hours in line with legal requirements
• Maintain accurate records, including delivery documentation and driver paperwork
• Provide a professional service to customers and site staff at collection and delivery points
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including safe loading/unloading practices
