Job summary

Manpower UK Limited is recruiting reliable Class 1 Drivers for a nationally recognised logistics organisation. This role offers regular work and competitive hourly pay, with full PPE and 21 days’ holiday.

You will work across distribution centres, perform vehicle checks and keep accurate records, all while meeting delivery schedules. The client emphasises safety, independence and strong teamwork, with ongoing recruitment support and wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 driving experience preferred within logistics or distribution.
• Valid UK C+E licence and Driver CPC.
• Good time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years previous HGV driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 21 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
