Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking reliable Class 1 Drivers in Swindon to join a major UK logistics operation. You will operate Class 1 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery points, carry out daily checks, load and unload, complete paperwork, and communicate with the operations team.

The role offers regular work with varied shifts, a competitive hourly rate (£21.99–£25.12 per hour), full PPE, a pension plan and wellbeing support through the employer.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Have Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• Two years’ Class 1 driving experience in logistics/distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels, and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects per company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and ensure goods security.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
