Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Tanker Driver to join our client in Rugby. You will operate HGV Tankers, perform daily safety checks and ensure loads are secured according to site procedures. Training is provided where needed and opportunities to earn overtime exist.

Candidates should have a Class 1 Licence, UK DCPC and a Digi-tacho card, with at least 12 months of experience and a clean regulatory record. UK resident with valid rights to work in the UK is required.

Competenze

• You will hold a Class 1 Driving Licence with at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• A UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are required.
• Regulations (WTD) must be followed and certain endorsements (DD, TT, DR, CD, IN) are not accepted.

Mansioni

• Operate HGV Class 1 Tanker routes
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and maintain cab and trailer cleanliness
• Ensure loads are secured and placed correctly
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain high standard of work

Assessment: Yes - required before start (full Tanker training provided)

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Rugby to work with our client, who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

Employee Benefits:

• Days £19.57 per hour (Holiday Pay: £2.36 per hour if paid on top (£21.93 total if requested))
• Nights £20.73 per hour (Holiday Pay: £2.50 per hour if paid on top (£23.23 total if requested))

Class 1 Tanker Driver - Role & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 1 Tanker (Tanker training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

• You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.
• Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.
• You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
