Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking Class 2 Drivers in Scunthorpe to join a cement and aggregates operation. You will operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, perform mixer work when trained, and complete daily paperwork while following site safety procedures.

Applicants should have a Class 2 licence, UK DCPC, Digi-tacho, and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. UK resident status and ability to travel to the site are required.

Qualifications

• Digi-tacho card must be valid.
• Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles and perform mixer work when trained.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and keep cab/trailer clean.
• Secure loads correctly and complete daily paperwork accurately.

Job Title: Class 2 Driver

Location: Scunthorpe

Pay Rate: £16.12 to £18.06 p/h

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:30 start times)

Overtime: Occasional Saturdays

Experience: 12 months Class 2 essential - MPQC qual beneficial

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Scunthorpe to work with our client, who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles
• Performing mixer work (training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
