Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Warrington is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our UK delivery fleet. You will handle loading, securing, and transporting specialist equipment to customer sites, with occasional nights away and varied schedules.

The role requires a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and prior driving experience, plus the ability to secure loads on low loaders and curtain-sided trailers. Training is available for certain FLT licences.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with commercial driving experience.
• Experience securing wheeled loads, plant machinery or specialist equipment.
• Confident operating low loaders and curtain-sided trailers.
• FLT experience (Counterbalance, Reach, PPT, LLOP, HLOP, Pivot) is beneficial; training can be provided.
• Pride in safety, professionalism and reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist equipment and machinery to customer locations across the UK.
• Load, unload and secure loads using appropriate trailers and equipment.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer inspections for safe operation.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Support wider operations with occasional nights out and varying schedules.

This varied role combines professional driving, vehicle loading and securing, and customer-facing deliveries, offering the opportunity to work with specialist trailers, equipment, and machinery.

CONTRACT DETAILS AT A GLANCE

• £34,478.49 per year (40 hour week)
• Permanent (Full-Time)
• Monday to Friday, start times between 04:00-06:00
• Warrington, WA2 8TS
• Overtime Opportunities: Typically around 7 hours per week available

Realistic earning potential: £43,529.09

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Delivering specialist equipment and machinery to customer locations across the UK
• Loading, unloading, and securing wheeled equipment using low loaders and curtain-sided vehicles
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the wider operation with occasional nights out and varying delivery schedules as required

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and have previous commercial driving experience
