Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group in Warrington is seeking a Class 1 Driver to deliver specialist equipment across the UK. You will handle loading, securing, and customer-facing deliveries using low loaders and curtain-sided trailers.

The role runs Monday to Friday with early start times (04:00–06:00). It is a permanent, full-time position with overtime opportunities and occasional nights out as required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and have previous commercial driving experience.
• Experience securing wheeled loads, plant machinery, vehicles, or other specialist equipment.
• Confident operating low loaders, curtain-sided trailers, or similar specialist transport equipment.
• FLT experience or licences (Counterbalance, Reach, PPT, LLOP, HLOP, Pivot Steer) beneficial; training available.

Responsibilities

• Delivering specialist equipment and machinery to customer locations across the UK.
• Loading, unloading, and securing wheeled equipment using low loaders and curtain-sided vehicles.
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation.
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting the wider operation with occasional nights out and varying delivery schedules as required.

Contract Details at a Glance

• £34,478.49 per year (40 hour week)
• Permanent (Full-Time)
• Monday to Friday, start times between 04:00-06:00
• Warrington, WA2 8TS
• Overtime Opportunities: Typically around 7 hours per week available

Realistic earning potential: £43,529.09

This Role Would Suit People Who
