Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Peterborough is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to ensure efficient, on-time delivery of goods. You will operate a DDI schedule, perform pre- & post-trip checks, and maintain safety standards on all routes.

Requirements include a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card. The role is permanent and full-time, with overtime eligibility and a starting pay rate of £16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E).
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card and up-to-date tachograph knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently following Hours and Working Time rules.
• Carry out vehicle checks regularly.
• Adhere to health and safety, road regulations and The Highway Code.
• Handle manual loading/unloading of goods.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE?

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO?

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C + E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• have previous experience although not essential.
