Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment in the Port Sunlight area is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for trunking routes with 100% clean trunking and flexible shift patterns. You will complete vehicle checks, handle paperwork and ensure loads are secured for distribution centre transfers.

The role requires a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence, DCPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with a minimum of 6 months’ Class 1 experience. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• At least 6 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Up to 6 licence points accepted (no DD, DR, CD, TT or IN endorsements).
• A professional attitude with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned trunking routes
• Complete daily vehicle checks and associated paperwork
• Ensure loads are safe, secure and compliant before departure
• Carry out clean trunking work between distribution centres
• Represent our client professionally at all times
