Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers in Wigan to join our team and help keep the supply chain moving.

Role involves trunking, daily vehicle checks, paperwork, and operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes across 00:00–04:00 and 15:00–19:00 shifts, with weekly pay and a £150 sign-up bonus after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with 12 months experience.
• Current UK Driver CPC card and valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Up to 6 points on licence (no DD, DR, CD, TT, IN endorsements).
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.
• UK resident status.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork.
• Perform majority of trunking work.
• Minimise handballing.
• Follow all driving laws and company procedures.

Pay Rate: £16.40 to £18.37 p/h

Bonus: £150 sign up bonus (payable after 12 weeks)

Shifts: 7 day working operation – start times between 00:00 and 04:00 and 15:00 and 19:00
