Job summary

Ignition is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to trunk between depots in Norwich. The role involves curtain sider work, pulling curtains for side-tip deliveries, and delivering safely and on time.

We offer immediate starts, regular weekly pay, flexible shifts, and a modern fleet with full site induction and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Minimum 2 years commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card held.
• Professional attitude with safety and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres.
• Curtain sider work; driver to pull curtains for side tip deliveries.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time and professionally.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and RT regulations; complete paperwork.

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres
• Curtain Sider work
  • Driver required to pull the curtains for side tip deliveries
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
