Job summary

Manpower is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver in Woking (GU21 3BA). The role offers an hourly rate of £22.41–£25.53 and temporary, ongoing contract terms.

You'll operate Class 1 vehicles on routes between distribution centres, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate records. The role requires a UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, and a clean driving history with up to 6 penalty points.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving role requiring UK C+E licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card and clean licence with <=6 penalty points.
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience in logistics/distribution.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while communicating with operations team.
• Follow road transport laws, health and safety regulations and company policies.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 years previous HGV driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
