Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver for temporary, ongoing work based in Slough. You will operate an articulated vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres, complete vehicle checks and ensure timely deliveries.

The role offers hourly pay from £22.41 to £25.53, with various shifts and full PPE provided. Ongoing recruitment support from Manpower accompanies you throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year+ HGV driving experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while communicating with the operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
