Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is hiring an HGV Class 1 driver (C+E) for trunking and collections in Crewe. Ongoing work through to 2027 with modern vehicles and immediate starts. Roles include days, nights, weekends, full-time or part-time, with flexible shifts and a supportive transport team.

Salary includes £21.36–£32.04 per hour plus a £250 sign-up bonus, paid breaks, and weekly pay. Applicants should have 2 years of Class 1 driving experience and a valid tachograph card.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Professional attitude with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Clean trunking work between depots and distribution centres.
• No handballing.
• Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately.

The Role

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience

• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
