Lloyd’s Syndicate is seeking a Claims Operations Manager to lead the operational oversight of the claims function in a dynamic environment. You will drive performance, oversee governance, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and risk management.

Reporting to the Head of Claims, the role emphasizes change delivery, systems design, and proactive claims management across the syndicate. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in a similar role ideally within Lloyd’s and/or Company Market.
• Proven experience delivering claims-related projects and operational change initiatives.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Strong people skills to work effectively with diverse groups at all levels across the business.
• Able to self-lead effectively and work independently and with teams.
• Confident working with systems, data and process improvement initiatives.
• Financially literate within insurance and Lloyd’s reporting, KPIs, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Office, Teams, booking systems).

Responsibilities

• Developing and leading the operational oversight of the claim function.
• Monitoring claims operating model by review of existing processes, identifying improvements and implementing changes where appropriate.
• Continuing to improve the governance and reporting framework across Syndicate claims.
• Developing a robust oversight framework that monitors and manages all risks associated with delegated claims handling services.
• Building and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
• Acting as a claims representative on inter-departmental initiatives.
• Co-ordinating and monitoring development of systems design and change process where required.
