An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Manager to join a growing property restoration business specialising in fire, flood and escape-of-water damage.
This is a broad role combining end-to-end property claims management with day-to-day office operations. You’ll take ownership of claims from first notification through to closure, working closely with insurers, loss adjusters, policyholders, technicians, subcontractors and internal teams to keep claims progressing smoothly.
The role would suit someone who has strong property claims experience and enjoys being hands‑on, improving processes and helping shape how a claims function operates as the business continues to grow.
There is also genuine scope for future leadership progression, with plans to introduce junior claims support beneath this position as claim volumes increase.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of property claims from first notification through to closure.
- Receive new instructions from insurers, loss adjusters, claims management companies and property owners.
- Coordinate emergency call-outs, technicians and subcontractors in line with agreed SLAs.
- Prepare and submit scopes, reports, drying records and photographic evidence.
- Chase authorisations, variations and additional works approvals to keep claims moving.
- Monitor claims against SLAs and escape potential issues before service levels are affected.
- Act as the main point of contact for policyholders throughout the claim.
- Manage customer expectations and identify potential dissatisfaction before it develops into a complaint.
- Maintain accurate, complete and audit‑ready claim files.
- Work confidently across insurer systems and claims portals.
- Produce reporting around job status, work in progress and SLA performance.
- Support invoicing, authorised spend and wider claims administration.
- Help manage day‑to‑day office operations and internal administration.
- Support subcontractor onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Help introduce and improve systems and processes as the claims function continues to develop.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience handling property damage claims.
- Experience within property restoration, insurance repairs or loss adjusting would be particularly valuable.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple live claims at once.
- Confident communication skills when dealing with insurers, loss adjusters and policyholders.
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and insurer portals.
- Calm and effective when working under pressure.

- Experience using Xactimate or similar estimating and claims platforms.
- Experience working to insurer SLAs.
- Knowledge of drying and damage management principles.
- Experience introducing or improving processes.
- Previous supervisory or line management experience.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary plus bonus and benefits.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Pension and company benefits.
- Funded BDMA training and continued professional development.
- The opportunity to directly influence how the claims function operates.
- Scope to introduce better processes and systems as the business grows.
- The potential to recruit, support and develop junior claims staff in the future, creating a genuine pathway into leadership.
- The opportunity to join a growing business where your ideas can have a visible impact.
