We are looking for a Claims Adjuster Natural Resources, based in London.

The Impact You Will Have

Based in London and reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources & Construction Claims, you will handle Natural Resources & Construction Claims, including Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI). You will drive excellence in claims handling for brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Resolve Natural Resources & Construction claims, ensuring cost-effective, service-oriented solutions.
• Evaluate coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels.
• Maintain accurate claims records (reserves, payments).
• Process indemnity and expense payments.
• Represent Allianz Commercial in industry market meetings.
• Produce management information reports (e.g., monthly claims movements).
• Prepare referral documentation and materials.
• Report loss information internally and externally.
• Collaborate with other functional areas in claims handling.
• Review late/non-payment of premiums and support credit control with Underwriting/Accounts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Enthusiastic about learning from technical experts and developing a career in complex claims handling.
• Basic understanding of Natural Resources & Construction Insurance and reserving principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.
• Ability to analyze data and provide meaningful insights.
• Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Prior insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
• CII qualifications or progress towards them is beneficial.
• Applicants with less experience, engineering or law degrees, seeking their first role, are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of AI and its potential in business is essential.
