We are looking for a Claims Adjuster - Natural Resources, based in London.

The Impact You Will Have

Based in London and reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources & Construction Claims, you will work on Natural Resources & Construction Claims, including Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI). You will drive excellence in claims handling services provided to brokers, clients, and internal customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Resolving Natural Resources & Construction claims, ensuring cost-effective, service-oriented solutions.
• Actively evaluating and addressing coverage issues and determining appropriate reserving levels.
• Maintaining accurate claims records (e.g., reserves, payments).
• Processing standard indemnity and expense payments.
• Contributing to market meetings, representing Allianz Commercial in the industry.
• Producing management information reports (e.g., monthly major claims movements).
• Preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate.
• Reporting loss information internally and externally.
• Collaborating with other functional areas in the claims handling process.
• Reviewing late/non-payment of premiums and supporting credit control processes with Underwriting/Accounts.

What You'll Bring

• A keen interest in learning from technical experts and progressing in complex claims handling.
• A basic understanding of Natural Resources & Construction Insurance and reserving principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.
• Ability to use data for meaningful analytics.
• Excellent communication skills to build relationships at all levels.
• Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
• CII qualifications or progress towards them is beneficial.
• Applications are welcome from candidates with less experience, especially those with engineering or law degrees seeking their first job with growth opportunities.
• A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential business applications.
