Job summary

WSP is seeking a Civil Engineer to deliver civil designs across the nuclear asset lifecycle, including site development, drainage and earthworks. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant and innovative solutions for major infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Civil Engineering, CEng or working towards chartership, and experience across nuclear programmes, with strong reporting and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) or working towards chartership.
• Experience delivering civil projects through nuclear lifecycle and UK programmes (SMRs/AMRs).
• Experience in site development, earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities and reinforced structures.
• Knowledge of design codes including BS and Eurocodes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and review civil designs across nuclear lifecycle stages.
• Develop civil solutions for major infrastructure projects and site development.
• Perform feasibility studies, optioneering, concept design for decisions.
• Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.
• Integrate civil designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, process engineering.
• Prepare technical reports, specs, calculations and safety docs.
• Apply standards and quality requirements in regulated environments.
• Support project planning, design coordination and delivery to budget.
• Build relationships with clients and delivery partners in nuclear/defence.
• Support development of graduate and early career engineers.
• Contribute to growth and reputation of WSP's Civil Nuclear capability.
